The Twins Have Arrived!

birthoftwins016.gifLuke, Charlotte and Monty are delighted to announce the birth of their twins, a girl and a boy, both born yesterday, 31st October 2007:

Tilly Xanthe Cunliffe was born at 2335 hrs weighing in at 6 lbs 5oz.

Scott Tyser Cunliffe was born at 2359 hrs (and 50 seconds, I kid you not) weighing in at 7 lbs 1oz.

Ten seconds later and they would have been born in different months…

Both were born naturally after three and a half hours of contractions. Charlotte and the babies are all in fantastic shape and looking forward to coming home later today. Many thanks to all the staff at St George’s Hospital in Tooting who were flawless in their support and efforts. We can’t thank them enough for being so safe, reassuring, kind and professional.

Photos are attached and more will follow no doubt as we go completely silly over them in the forthcoming days….weeks, months and years.

Thanks also to all our family and friends for all their enthusiasm and support.

Whey hey! Congratulations to you both and to Monty the big Bro!! Well done Charlotte. I was gonna say you got off lightly with a three hour labour but coming from a bloke I’m not sure (actually I am sure!!) how that would be received, lol!
Oh Luke, well done you too for being such pillar of strength and not fainting or being ill. It’s a tough job being a father at the birth!!!
My thoughts are with you all at this special time.

Way to go guys. So many congratulations and so much love from us both. Dad says that now they have more grandchiuldren than Mary and I. Well I can let you know that Barrett just let us know she is pregnant which is fabulous news. This will also only put us one behind (unless they are triplets!!).

Again so much love and Barrett sends hers and Kevin’s also.
